Generations at McKinley Court and Generations at McKinley Place have undergone significant changes over the past year and are ready to kick off the new decade by debuting new names.
The premier post acute therapy facility in the Decatur market, Generations at McKinley Court is now Villa Clara Post Acute. Renovations are taking place throughout the entire building, with an emphasis on enhancing clinical excellence and high intensity therapy to ensure patients return home quickly and healthy.
Some of Villa Clara Post Acute’s renovations include:
- New private suites offer short-term rehab patients a calm and peaceful healing environment after they complete therapy.
- With the addition of a state-of-the-art Enhanced Monitoring Unit (EMU), similar to what is found in inpatient hospital units, medically complex patients can be safely managed “in place,” with a full-service lab, total patient monitors, EKGs and added acute diagnostic services. The EMU features 24-hour close medical monitoring, a dedicated specially trained clinical staff and in-house treatments.
- New diagnostic equipment focuses on promoting wellness throughout the facility, allowing staff to communicate more effectively with attending physicians.
Prairie Creek Village (formerly Generations at McKinley Place) has been designed as a long-term care facility with 21st century senior living amenities. Residents can relax with a good book in the comfort of the library, spend time with friends in the sports bar or celebrate special occasions with family in the private dining room. The renovated secured memory care unit features a progressive Norman Rockwell-esque theme. Individualized programming addresses the unique needs of those living with memory loss, while providing peace of mind for their loved ones.
Both Villa Clara Post Acute and Prairie Creek Village will be hosting Open Houses this spring for the community to kick off a “New Name, New Look, New Mission” campaign.
