Vice President of Clinical Services
Mary Ann oversees and supervises the clinical services department. Mary Ann and her team of nurse consultant’s primary role is to assist client facilities achieve compliance with federal and state regulations, standards of care, operational guidelines and procedures and all compliance systems. Focus is placed on development and implementation of systems, and providing the necessary tools to improve resident’s care and overall health outcomes. She is the lead for the organization’s Quality Assurance monitoring program identifying potential issues and implementing preventive and/or corrective action plans. She assists facilities with the development and implementation of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs to improve overall facility performance, improve resident outcomes and reduce hospital readmission rate.
She received her CNA at the tender age of 15, and has her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has held many roles within the organization, including charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), and Director of Nursing (DON) and clinical consultant. She started her journey with the Generations family in 2001 and left in 2009 to spread her wings. She returned as the VP of Clinical Services in 2015.
After she left, she appreciated the company even more, “I worked for a large national organization as a consultant and after spreading my wings I learned the value of our company. Some big companies are all about the money, but ours is about the residents and is team based.” She loves working with the staff because she gets to develop relationships and feels the smiles she receives from residents are the result of her team helping them. The residents are so appreciative of the care they receive.
She resides in Davis Junction, IL and in her spare time she loves family time with her children and grandchildren.
